I purchased a vehicle from Toms River VW in Aug. 2024, including the Volkswagen Drive Easy Protection Plan. I cancelled the VSP on 10/24/2024, and received email and letter confirmations from VW Drive Easy Program administrator. VW Drive Easy sent confirmation to Toms River VW of refund in the amount of $2,094.78 - which was supposed to be sent to me. Toms River VW REFUSES to return the refund to me!!! The manager, Huey Cengiz, Controller, Finance Manager and office staff have all been informed by VW and myself, but they refuse to return calls or emails. VW Toms River is holding my VW Drive Easy Protection Plan refund and refuses to pay me and refuses to address the issue. Additionally when i was waiting for prep and pickup Mr. Cengiz convinced me to finance the vehicle, I planed to pay in full, so the dealership can receiver payment from Valley National Bank. Mr. Cengiz assured me that I could pay the vehicle off with no harm to me and Toms River VW could receive more funds. I reluctantly agreed. Don’t do business with this dealership. I made a big mistake trusting Mr. Cengiz and fell into Toms River VW’s trap. Good luck with your search for a vehicle.

Bought a new Tiguan that was missing a key fob. The key fob was ordered. It had to be programmed. I got to the dealership and my car was taken in within five minutes. It took about 20 minutes and I was out the door. It was absolutely painless. It was a pleasure dealing with the service department and the service manager, Dave in particular.

I recently bought a used car for my son's first car. I was treated fairly and respectfully and I got a great deal. My salesman Jim is pleasant, not pushy, a veteran (thank you for your service, Jim), and a good guy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and this dealership. Overall great experience.

When first walked into Volkswagen. I was greeted by a salesperson named Greg. I had such an amazing experience working with him. If I ever look for another Volkswagen car I would definitely go see Greg! I love my 2024 Tiguan!

Went to Tom's River VW to purchase a VW Atlas. my son & his wife purchased 2 cars there wanted to deal local. But drove one atlas it was ok, started to drive a brand new Tiguan pulled out onto rt 37 fuel light was blinking truck had no fuel had to turn around before running out of fuel. Got into an argument with an employee there telling me to move my car out of the handicap spot so they can pull used cars there I said are you serious it's for customer parking I'm trying to buy a vehicle then he told me I couldn't park in the service parking lot. I had to park in front of the Mitsubishi dealer My wife and I left disgusted. Drove to freehold Volkswagen drove multiple vehicles and purchased a brand new 2023 Atlas Se beautiful truck My wife loves it got a great deal I'll never give toms River Volkswagen any business I won't even let them change my oil after I just read the horror stories from the service department they should be ashamed of themselves I work for dealerships a long time you can't rip people off sell them things they don't need just to make money.

Don not purchase vehicle here like to give you a run around and do nothing been buying cars from there since 2012 and just got worse and worse everytime

I used to love this dealership, but Lauren and Raul are no longer in the service department and now all I feel is ripped off! If I can’t trust the service department I’m no longer a customer. Tommy, my salesman is awesome though!

DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM HERE YOU WILL GET SCREWED! If I could rate as -5 I would. They sold me a "certified pre-owned car" 8 months ago that is not actually certified pre-owned. I unfortunately did not realize this until TODAY, 8 months later, when I attempted to use my complimentary 2 years of roadside assistance and VW Corp informed me, they rejected the CPO to the dealership and therefore the car is not actually CPO. I am currently on the side of the road with my vehicle and have been for hours and VW Toms River has been less than helpful. The only advice they offered was to pay for services out of pocket and hope that I get reimbursed...FOR A SERVICE I WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE SINCE PURCHASING THE CAR.

terrible experience! VW Passat my battery kept going "dead". Brought it there, on different occasions, kept car for almost a week, each time, no loaner I do not live near a dealership they are the closest one. Change battery, (mine was a new one but they insisted I needed a VW battery)! Then my radio was draining battery, change radio, change Computer, another week, take the chip out of car. Then a couple days later dead battery again, I called they are all booked but drop the car off and leave it, what about a loaner? Sorry no loaner until the end of August! How could they not have a loaner car for a month!! So thousands of $$'s later, they could not fix it, Did I really need all that other stuff? $3400.00 later and I still have no car, my fault to trust. People were professional enough but maybe they fall short in the Technician dept.?My review 1/2 a star for talking to me. Do NOT bring your car there.

Caution! Last time I will use Toms River VW. My daughters 2015 Jetta Sport went in for an oil change. $90 for an oil change and they told her she needed an Air Filter ( I Already replaced it the day before) Spark plugs for $300 (she has 49K miles, manual states 60K replace) and stated she needed front brake pads and rotors $600.00. Told them to finish oil change and write up estimate for items. Took her car to another shop. They stated plugs were not needed yet and that the front brakes were still 50%. Rear brakes were about 15% and suggest replacement. Replaced rear pads and rotors for $305. I have purchased multiple VW from this dealer and serviced them all here. At one time we had 3 VW in household. Will never use dishonest dealer again. Beware! She stated service writer was nice though while trying to upsell. To top it off they never reset her service reminder on the car.

Bought my car here and told first 3 oil changes are free...not true! Best part is while I was here arguing this point, they were telling another customer the same thing. Just be aware they tell you things to make their deal seem great but don't follow through with their promises. Don't care about paying for my oil change but don't promise a service you won't keep. Be upfront with my cost, it's my money.

Came in to get my wife a new (used car) as well as trade in my own vehicle. We were extremely impressed with the service from our salesperson, Angelo. He was professional and friendly and walked us through the entire process without us feeling pressured. We left the dealership with two new cars and couldn't be happier. Bought a preowned “certified” 2018 Tiguan from them less than a year ago, put less than 9,000 miles on it and it already needs new brake pads, plus many other problems the dealership is unwilling to take responsibility for. Horrible service.

Another great buying experience here at Toms River Volkswagen. We have worked with Angelo and Jim and they were both great! We will definitely be back!
