Beach to Bay 5K in Brick NJ

The annual Beach to Bay 5K returns to Brick, NJ, for its seventh exciting year! The Jersey Shore Animal Center is proud to be back, welcoming runners and animal lovers to continue this fun-filled tradition on Saturday, October 6.

Whether you’re a dedicated jogger or just want to walk for a good cause, you’re welcome to come out, meet some furry new friends, and enjoy the beautiful views of the early morning sun over the Jersey Shore.

The course begins at Beach III, right off Route 35 N, and runs from the ocean to the banks of Barnegat Bay. All 3.1 miles of the course are nice and flat, so runners of all ages and speeds will have a fun time and get a great view of the water on both sides.

Plus, as long as you’ve got a leash, you can bring your pup to the course. This is a dog-friendly event for both participants and supporters.

You can sign up online at the Jersey Shore Animal Center’s website. It’s just $30 to enter, and only $25 if you sign up by Monday, October 1.

On race day, registration for this newly certified USA Track & Field event starts bright and early at 7:30 AM. The first 300 runners to register will get a free shirt commemorating this year’s event.

The race begins at 8:30 AM, so make sure you and any four-legged friends you brought along are at the starting line. The day concludes with an awards presentation at the finish line at 9:30 AM.
